Distributed Automation Systems Solutions (DAS2) is an academic spin-off company approved in 2023 by Ufficio Terza Missione e Trasferimento Tecnologico board of the University of Naples Federico II. The company’s mission is to promote the emerging paradigms of Mobility as a Service (MaaS) and Smart and Sustainable Mobility through the development of integrated validation and simulation platforms for virtual testing of MaaS solutions, advanced driver assistance systems, connected and autonomous vehicles, and intelligent infrastructures from a Smart Roads perspective.
Additionally, DAS2 supports companies in the digitalization of processes and business models, developing customized industrial applications in line with the principles of Industry 5.0.
Founded on the research experience of the DAiSY Lab, DAS2 brings together professionals from both the academic and industrial sectors, whose heterogeneous skills create a synergistic blend of innovative technological expertise in the fields of Automotive, Smart and Sustainable Mobility, Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems, Information and Communication Technology, and Energy.
The team’s know-how in these domains is attested by numerous research projects involving DAS2 members, collaborations with national and international industrial partners, and several scientific publications in high-impact international journals.
